Because Paul Murphy was a novice at writing murder mysteries, I did not know what to expect when he permitted me to read his book, . Pleasantly surprised does not aptly describe my feelings for what I read. I was amazed at how intricately and accurately Paul was able to weave his knowledge of medicine, psychology, the legal system and detective work into a novel that I found hard to stop reading. He developed strong characters that I deemed necessary to carry such a plot. When he told me that he had just finished another book called Golden Rule Days, I literally begged him to let me read it.
